How do I register?

If your organisation is part of the UK Access Management Federation (UKAMF) and is on this list of federation members, then you must register with us using the username/password issued to you by your organisation.

If your organisation is not on this list you will have to obtain a username from us. Once this has been supplied to you, you can then register with the UK Data Service. See our information for other UK users for details.

Are there any restrictions on access for users from the public sector?

  • Our controlled data (available via our Secure Lab) are restricted to users who can access the data from within the UK. See Access Secure Lab for further details
  • Some restrictions apply to international macrodata available via UKDS.Stat. However, selected international macrodata are available to everyone

Each study has a Data Catalogue record and details of any restrictions will be found in the 'Access' tab.
