Reusing qualitative data creatively in your research

2 December 2013
UK Data Archive, University of Essex

This one-day workshop for postgraduate students will provide an introduction to reusing archived qualitative data in social research.

There will be a focus on the ethical consideration and challenges of using data collected by others, as well as practical, hands-on activities which explore such issues. Real-life case studies will be used to highlight how other researchers have reused qualitative data in creative research and innovative teaching contexts.

In the second half of the day there will be an opportunity to register and discover collections held by the UK Data Service. The final session will offer an opportunity to find out how data can be used in your graduate teaching.
