Health surveys user conference 2016

29 June 2016
Wilkins Gustave Tuck Lecture Theatre, University College London

The annual Health surveys user conference was organised by the UK Data Service.

The morning session allowed users to hear updates from the data producers on the main UK health surveys and other surveys with health-related content. The afternoon session comprised of presentations from researchers using health survey data.

Links to the presentations are below.

The feedback session in the conference programme focused specifically on the Health Survey for England, with comments also requested on some other surveys. However, we are aware that the HSCIC consultation covered many statistical products, not just these surveys, and also that there are currently some issues of concern in relation to health and care statistics in general.  In case conference attendees were interested in making comments on these wider issues, Deana Leadbeter gave a brief introduction to two ways they could do this. The first is via the Health Statistics User Group, and the second is via making an input to the Health and Care Statistics Summit which the UK Statistics Authority is running on 8 July, and participating in follow up activities after this Summit.  Further information on both of these is given in the briefing notes above.

We expect to run as normal a service as possible during this COVID-19 (Coronavirus) emergency. Please visit our COVID-19 page for the latest information.
